He was born on March 8, 1917, at Annapolis, MO, the son of the late Bert and Carrie (Dodson) Sutton. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Tony Ray Shivers, three brothers, Ernest, Paul and Nelson Sutton, and two sisters, Opal Huff and Darlene Johnson. Mr. Sutton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington. He retired from Monsanto in St. Louis. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in World War II with the 7th Infantry Regiment. Mr. Sutton received the Purple Heart with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster. He was a member of the American Legion Post 416.
