I have only found my Alex in 1870 and 1880. With the 1890 being gone it is very difficult to find out when he died. My gggrandmother was widowed on the 1900 census. Her name was Sarah. They were in Washington county in 1870 and Reynolds in 1880. If the 1870 census is reading correctly, then Alex was 28 years old and that would fit with what you have...... Kevin

A cousin has told me that his uncle believes Absolam had at least two brothers, the parents died young and the boys were split up and raised by different families. He believes there was an "Alex" with a son named "Alex". I am not sure if he meant Absolam had a brother Alex or an uncle named Alex. I have not found my Absolam's parents however in looking for Alex I did find in the 1860 U.S. Census, Missouri, Boone County, Perche Township, pg. 118, line 25, the following family: Alex Robinson Age: 39 Occupation:Faarmer Born: K Mary J. I have had my share of the doctors myself. I am convinced that my ggreat grandfather Alexander Robinson and your Martha Tucker(Robinson) were siblings. My problem is that I have not been able to find him anywhere but 1880 and 1870. Do you happen to know where to find him at????? I am pretty sure he died before 1900 because Sara Robinson(Goad) is listed as widowed in 1900. I was also told that we were related to a Homer Lewis who was a school principal.. Alexander supposedly had 3 brothers. I was told that one of the names was James. Does the Matchell family ring a bell with you?? I would love for you to email me what you have if you don't mind.
