I am seeking linkage to other Robinson/Robison families in Iron Co to the family of Isaac Robinson/Robison, b 1793-1795 NC. His family appears in Sevier Co, TN in 1850 and then in Arcadia, Mo in 1860. He was married to Nancy, b abt 1823 NC or TN, and apparently had an earlier wife. They had at least these children: Celia, b abt 1823; Martha b abt 1842; Valentine C [1845-1887]; David, b abt 1846; Alexander, b abt Sept 1849; Spea? L [male], b abt 1855; John, b abt 1858. Valentine is my ancestor. He m Mary Salina Brewer [1853-1918] and they had these children: Emily Elizabeth [1868-ca 1880]; Jane W. [ca 1870-ca 1878]; Mary A [ca 1870-aft 1876]; Armintha J [abt 1872-aft 1880]; James Walter [17 JUL 1873 - bef 1900]; Rachel Margaret [12 SEP 1878 - 2 FEB 1955] m. George Davis; Mabel, d bef 1900; Henry Marion [16 SEP 1879 - 5 APR 1910] m. Etta Blankenship; Susan N or Nora Mae [8 OCT 1881 - 12 APR 1942] m. Don't know if anyone is interested, but I ran across this link that has different newspapers across the USA. Just click on the state you want and it will bring up the newspaper. Unfortunately the Independent Journal isn't on the list so we can see any obits, but then awonder@cox.net does a fabulous job of posting. It does have the Daily Journal which blondee@centurytel.net post to St. Francois Co.mailing list, Farmington Press in St. Francois Co., St. Louis Post Dispatch, and several others. It lists the papers that are printed daily, weekly and less frequent, and broadcast news sources. Some of the papers may have archives.
