    3. Went through 1836 to June 1838 in Volume 3, 1833-43 of the Howard County Probate books since I don't have the index for the letter W. No sign of Mary Walker's estate. She may not have had any property left at her death or it may be somewhere else. Howard County Probate Records Volume 5, 1850-56 Page 353 4 January 1855 George A. Walker, minor heir of Thomas J. Walker, dec., over 14 yr., comes into Court and chooses John Walker as his guardian. Page 442 8 January 1855 John Walker, guardian of George A. Walker, be authorized to purchase for his said ward one of the slaves belonging to the estate of Thomas J. Walker, dec. to be sold under an order of this County in Probate Court of Pettis County for partition. Volume 6, 1856-63 Page 270 1 December 1859 John Walker, guardian, presents final settlement for George A. Walker and is released.
