    1. [MOHOWARD-L] Hi, I'm back and thank you all
    2. Mike & Kathy Bowlin
    3. Hello friends and family, Mike moved my computer downstairs, so I am again back in email contact with the lists. I had to return the reel of microfilm that I was working on, because my reader is upstairs and it will probably be a month or so before I have access to it again, so I can't go back to transcribing until I can get upstairs again. I want to thank each and every one of you for the lovely emails that I received wishing me well. I received over 50 of them over a three day period, and I was truly touched. Your good wishes and prayers must have helped, because my family doctor told me, that when he looked at my X-ray, it wasn't nearly as bad as the ER doctor had told me. It was a single break, just above the ankle, in the small bone. It was a clean break, and the bones weren't displaced, so he expects it to heal in 4 to 6 weeks. I have hired a 15 year old girl for the rest of the summer, to come to the house and help me with the grandkids, and she is a real jewel. I am experiencing some swelling within the cast whenever my foot isn't elevated for more than about half an hour, so my time on the computer is pretty limited. However, it should allow me to resume posting the Higbee News that I had transcribed earlier, resuming with the Sep 1903 issue. Unfortunately, because I don't have anything downstairs except the computer itself, I will be limited in my ability to answer questions about the postings. I have a lot of my documentation on the computer, but a lot more that is in books and file cabinets upstairs and out of my reach. I've missed the contact with all of you, and couldn't wait to get back to posting. Kathy

    3. Kathy, So glad to hear you are mending well and have computer access. I hope the 4 to 6 weeks go by fast for you. I was out 2 years ago for 3 weeks with a ligament pull and I thought I was going to go nuts...and my garden was a mess. Take care and wish you a speedy recovery. Teri C.
