Isaac Grapes, 70 year old night marshal, died here suddenly early this morning. He was on duty when he died. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lenore Heddesheimer of Forrest Green, and Miss Willie Grapes and Mrs. Allene McCloud of the home. A sister, Mrs. S. Obituary of Willie Grapes WILLIE GRAPES A long time Salisbury resident, Miss Willie Grapes, died April 26 at Heartland of Liberty Nursing Home, Liberty, Missouri. She was 91 years of age and had been residing in Lathrop in recent months. Miss Grapes had been an employee of Salisbury businesses, including the Model Bakery and Sommer's Foods. She had resided at the Grapes homeplace, 808 South Maple, for most of her lifetime. She was one of three children born to Isaac and Daisy D. Davis Grapes and her date of birth was November 28, 1895. Her parents and two sisters, Lenora Heddesheimer and Alline McCloud, preceeded her in death. She was a long-time member of the Salisbury First Christian Church. Survivors are two nephews, Jim McCloud, Kansas City and Elwood Heddesheimer, Salisbury; a niece, Helen Humphrey, Memphis, Missouri and a number of great-nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at the First Christian Church from noon on Wednesday until time of service at 2:00. Rev. Bill Kennedy of Canton, was in charge. Music was by organist, Mrs. Jerry Clark and vocalist, Miss Lucy Vaughn. Pallbearers were Verl Krager, Raymond McNeall, Billy Jeff Mott, Roger Naylor, Bob Sweeney and Keith Zahringer. OBITUARY OF DONALD ELWOOD HEDDESHEIMER printed Thursday 26 Jun 1997 ---------------------------------------------------- ELWOOD HEDDESHEIMER Donald Elwood Heddesheimer, age 66, died June 17 at University Hospital in Columbia after being in ill health for some time. He had resided in the Shannondale Community and had worked as a farmer and a driver for Lewis Trucking. He was born July 28, 1930, son of Hugh H. and Lenora Grapes Heddesheimer. Mr. Heddesheimer was a member of the First Christian Church of Salisbury. Survivors are a sister, Helen Jean Humphrey of Memphis; a nephew, John Humphrey of Independence; a great nephew, Dustin Humphrey of Independence; and a number of cousins. Visitation and funeral services were held Saturday at the Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow. Rev. Arthur Ridge conducted the service. Susan Prisendorf served as organist.
