Bill: Where might one find a copy of the newspaper death notices that you reference? I do a lot of research at the State Historical Society in Columbia, MO and have not noticed them having a copy of these death notices but I may have over looked it also. Anyway, I have been searching for information on the Pebley and Morgan families. Jeremiah Pebley (my great-great grandfather)is buried in Guilliams Cemetery in Holt county and I would love to have an obit for him and/or his wife, Rhoda Morgan Pebley. Would you please check and see if there are notices for any Pebleys or Morgans in your book? Gone Home mentions something about Rhoda Morgan Pebley's family having lived in Craig (I believe this is correct....I don't have access to my records as I type this note.) Your help would be appreciated! Thanks, Jerre
I got them from the Northwest Genealogical Society, St Joseph, Missouri. Order blank is available from their web site. There is not Pebley, but there is a Maggie Morgan, and a W. T. Morgan, son of Henry Morgan. Does this mean anything to you? If so let me know. ----- Original Message ----- From: <ROBERM1@aol.com> To: <MOHOLT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, May 08, 2003 9:20 AM Subject: Re: [MOHOLT] Newspaper Death Notices-Pebley & Morgan > Bill: > Where might one find a copy of the newspaper death notices that you reference? Do you have obits for Albert Henry Smith and his wife Nancy Ellen Bright Smith who are buried in the cemetery in Oregon, Holt, MO. Albert Henry died 29 Jul 1942 in St. Joseph and Nancy died 05 Mar 1941 in Oregon. Both had lived in Brown's (?) Nursing Home in Oregon for a year or so before their deaths. They were the parents of G. Frank Smith, my grandfather.
