Isn't there a "cemetery District" for the town or county that has index cards or books or something for the local cemeteries? I know here in Mesa County, CO, the city has index cards for most of the cemeteries. The more recent burials are in a computer program. When I go to photograph headstones, I used to go to the office first. Unfortunatley since I'm now working full time, it's pretty hard for me to do. I want to thank everyone who responed to my question about the Cromers. The information I received was very helpful! I am a direct descendant of "Mrs. H. King" (the daughter of Mary Cromer, d. 1909 in Holt Co.) However, the information listed for her in "Going Home" is incomplete. "H[ezikiah] King" was her husband, and her name was Cordelia (Delia) Cromer. I also have birth and death information available for her.
