That GOODALE is making me nuts...my ggGrandfather, Stephen GOODALE married Susan BEAN in 1874 Holt Co., Mo. but by 1884 Stephen is married to my ggGrandmother, Pauline WATSON. Susan's father was Baxter BEAN (also her cousin)! If it isn't much trouble would you let me know what the obit says for Baxter BEAN? In Gone Home 1, I have a Baxter Bean listed as being born in North Carolina 12 March, 1823 and died 29 Dec 1899 husband oof Ellen (Hatfield), father of 13 children and buried in Tarkio Chapel. Mary Ellen Hatfield Bean, Born Feb. 15, 1849, died April 22, 1873. Widow of Baxter Bean, mother of 10 children. ITEM: The wife and infant child of Baxter Bean, living 1/4 mile east of Bigelow, Mo. died last Saturday and were buried in the same casket on Monday in the Tarkio Chapel Cemetery. 1893. (Sorry, this was all the information). HOLT COUNTY MISSOURI DEATH NOTICES 1857-1899 PAGE 3 BEAN, Baxter--died 20 Dec 1899, aged 76. He was born in North Carolina, 12 March 1823. He married Miss Millie McKinley in 1850. Three children were born. In 1874 he again married Miss Ellen Hatfield & 10 children were born. His wife and 6 children have passed away. He leaves 7 Children. Burial at Tarkio Chapel cemetery.
