The Holt County Courthouse, in Oregon, would be open 9 to noon; then 1 to 4. The Holt County Historical Society is open every Wednesday, 9 to 3; it is in Fortescue; 115 Ada Street, in the former Methodist Church. Phone is 660-442-5949. There would be census records; obits, school, family, and town histories, along with lots more. I could look for some things for you, on Wednesday??
