I'm looking for information on the marriage of my g-g-grandparents, William Washington HENDERSON and Mary Ann ALEXANDER. Our family records show their first child as born in June 1862 in Bigelow, so we always inferred that they were married in 1860 or 1861, in Holt Co. If anyone has access to Holt County marriage records, or can put me in touch with who does, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks Keith Winkelman

Keith, I checked the Holt Co. Marriage records in Missouri Pioneers through 1860 and 1860-1870 published by the NW Missouri Genealogical Society and did not find their marriage. I also checked my printed copy of the 1860 census. There were two Henderson families, neither of which had a William or Washington. That might indicate they came to Holt Co. after the middle of 1860; however, I didn't find some of my families on the 1860 census that should have been there, so it could be they were just missed if they were already there. Have you checked Buchanan Co. for their marriage record? Some of my family was married in St. Joe, even though they lived in Holt Co., so assume others did the same. Good luck...
