Carrie & Linda, I found your 2004 postings about Joseph Scott. I have his 2nd wife for you. Minerva G. Shirley married 1st Samuel DeVorss 1 Nov 1849 St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO. Samuel died after 15 Nov 1850 (census) in St. Joseph, estate administered 26 Dec 1850. She then married Joseph Scott 4 Apr 1852 Buchanan Co., MO. Samuel and Minerva were recorded twice in the 1850 census. They may have had a son Joseph, who was next door with Samuel's widowed mother in one of the census records. If you look these up on Ancestry.com don't be thrown by his mother Edy DeVorss recorded as a male. His father was William. I have never been able to find Minerva's parents. Pat Frunzi Fallsington, PA
