It would be really great if someone in the area would let the library staff know about Pettijohn-Crawford's records or even insert a blurb inside the cover of their copy of "Gone Home". The map at Crouse Motors worked for me, but names of those who hadn't bought lots by the early 1930s aren't on that one. There is a car dealer in Mound City, I think it's the Chevrolet dealer, who has a 1938 map of cemetery lots that were purchased by that time. I was lucky enough to find my family by this means. Although the surname was the same, the buyer of the plot didn't have the same first name of any of the people that I knew about at that time. Hi A large source of leads to family-history data is now on line. It is comprised of the Tables of Contents of the first 22 volumes of the Missouri State Genealogical Association Journal, 1981-2002+. Importantly, below the Tables of Contents, is an index. Reviewers find the whole page easily navigated despite the great amount of data included. A few of the key words with which to search the index are county names, directions (east, south, north, west), and family surnames (for Bible records). Use your browsers search function. When you find interesting leads on the web page, you will probably want to see actual copies of the Journal. Many libraries subscribe to the Journal. There is also information, below the index on the web page, on how to obtain copies of articles or issues. One can get an idea as to the length of an article in the Journal by noting the page numbers where it begins and where the following article begins.
