    2. Bill and Betty Raines
    3. Am searching for death information on gggrandmother, Christina (Martin) RAINS. She moved to Holt Co., MO. from Kentucky prior to 1860. She appears as head of house on the 1860 Fed. Census for Missouri, Holt Co., Nodaway Twp., with 6 children. In August of 1865, she was granted guardianship of the minor children of her oldest daughter and son-in-law, Mary and John NIX. This record appears in court documents of Andrew Co., MO. In 1866, the guardianship of the NIX children was reassigned. Have been unable to find any record of her after 1865 and unable to find a record of her death or burial. Is there any mention of her in Holt County newspapers of that time? Thanks to anyone that might be able to check it out. B. Raines

    3. I want to thank everyone who responed to my question about the Cromers. The information I received was very helpful! I am a direct descendant of "Mrs. H. King" (the daughter of Mary Cromer, d. 1909 in Holt Co.) However, the information listed for her in "Going Home" is incomplete. "H[ezikiah] King" was her husband, and her name was Cordelia (Delia) Cromer. I also have birth and death information available for her. Is there anyone I should contact to update that information in "Going Home"? Thanks again adi king __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier.
