    1. [MOHOLT] WILSON 1850's etc.
    2. Rick Wilson
    3. I am trying to connect James Lee WILSON to the family of Jubal WILSON. Jubal lived next to the Moses PROCTOR family in 1850, but I think Jubal died soon after. James moved to Kansas in the later 1850's with some DUNCANs and FARMERs who were definitely related to Jubal's wife. So I think they were all interconnected. There was a gunsmith also named James Wilson near them too. James Lee Wilson (1830-1894) married Barrilla Proctor (b.abt. 1833), a daughter of Moses Proctor, in Holt County in 1855 by the Minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church. I already have their marriage record. However, James wasn't on the 1850 census. Does anybody know anything about any of these people? Does this church or records from the church exist?

    1. [MOHOLT] RIDGE family
    2. Rick Wilson
    3. The RIDGE family moved to Holt County in the mid-1850's from Scotland Co, MO and Pulaski Co, KY before that. The father's name was Samuel RIDGE (b. abt 1800) and the mother Barbara (AKER, I think)(1807-1870). They had several children who are in the marriage records here, but I don't know much else about their time in Holt County. Many moved to Brown Co, KS, but some were still there in the 1870's and maybe never left. Some of the surnames involved with the children are: HILTON/HINTON, WILSON, NORTON, CROUCH, GULLETT, GANNON, GAMBLE, PITCHFORD, TURREM?, and FURNUM? Does anyone else know anything about this family?

    1. [MOHOLT] From List Mom - Comcast buy out
    2. Kathleen Burnett
    3. Dear List Members, If you were effected by the Comcast buy out, then you need to read this, if not delete it. Just this evening, I have receive over 100 requests for me to change e-mail address to a Comcast address. Many of these requests mention multiple lists of which the sender needs their e-mail address changed. It will take me a good week or so to get through them all. My suggestion is; If you still have the ability to unsubscribe go to PASSWORD Central at http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ type in your old e-mail address, and follow the directions. You will receive an e-mail from which you can unsubscribe. If you can't do this, then you will just need to re-subscribe with your new address and let the old one bounce off. To re-subscribe this go to John Fuller's mailing list site http://www.rootsweb.com/~jfuller/gen_mail.html or remember you can subscribe and or unsubscribe by sending only the word UNSUBSCRIBE or SUBSCRIBE to XXXXXX-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM or XXXXXX-D-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM if you are on the Digest List. Naturally change the XXXXXX to the name of the list. If all else fails, contact me, but be understanding if it takes me a while to get to you. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

    1. [MOHOLT] Memorial Day - Lonely Graves
    2. Kathleen Burnett
    3. For those of you who are visiting the cemeteries and graves of your loved ones, your ancestors this weekend and have a few extra flowers, think of placing them on one of the lonely graves which are never visited. Or, if you are living in an area where you have no one, think of visiting a cemetery and placing flowers by one of these lonely graves. I live in Logan Utah and tomorrow I will be visiting several local cemeteries and will be placing flowers on graves. Over the past years I have adopted these graves, these people and I hope that someone out there is doing the same for my loved ones. This is the day to remember those who came before us, who forged the paths that we now walk. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

    1. [MOHOLT] From List Mom - Vacations and Unsubscribing
    2. Kathleen Burnett
    3. Dear List Members, It is that time of year when some of you will be leaving on Vacations. You might want to consider unsubscribing from the list while you are gone and then resubscribing when you return. The easiest way to do this is by using Password Central. http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ Follow the instructions and you will receive a e-mail list of all Rootsweb Mailing Lists you belong to. You can unsubscribe using this e-mail. Save it and you then have a list of mailing lists you want to re-subscribe to. When you return, you can check the Archives for this list at http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ Just type in the name of the list and you can check the messages for the dates you were gone. The following was shared with me and I think it is one of the best Maps I have seen showing the growth and history of the United States. http://www.animatedatlas.com/movie.html I appreciate each of you and know that it is because of you our list is the success it is. 3. >In regard to the other names I did not find anything except for a Mary >Thieman, and there was a Miama Thieman listed. > Bill, Thanks, the MIAMA THIEMAN you mentioned died in 1902 was the seven year old daughter of William THIEMAN and Anna SCHMULTZER. Anna's maiden name is also recorded without the L. It would be interesting to see how it is listed in the obit, if at all. The obit on Mary, showing her husband as Jno Christian Thieman; is interesting not only in that I did not have them, but because the Christian is common in the THIEMAN line. I have been working on a theory that there were two related THIEMAN lines and this opens up a new couple to research. My grandfather's sister, who's mother was Edie Lizzie THIEMAN, is goig to a reuinion there this summer and this gives me new people for her to ask about. 3. I am sorry, I cannot tell you anything about Henry Oberlin/Owen Reese as he died in 1906 and I do not have any information for that year. In regard to the other names I did not find anything except for a Mary Thieman, and there was a Miama Thieman listed. Thieman, Mrs. Mary F.--died 15 April 1903 in Rock Port, Mo.. She was born in Germany & was nearly 70 years old at her death. She was born Mary S. Matton & came to the US & married a Mr. Lemka, who died in their early married life & one son was born, Charles Lemka, of Texas. In a856, she married Jno Christopher Thieman and 5 boys and 2 girls were born & all survive, except 1 son. Mary came to Corning, Mo. in 1871.
