Dear Listmembers, I am coming into this conversation kind of late. I don't know if anyone has shared this with you already. You can set the the size of type you need for yourself on your computer. I fixed my parents screen so that they can read it. IF YOU USE THE WINDOWS 98 program on your computer as the operating system these are the steps you can take to make your own computer DISPLAY larger type so that you can read your screen easier. On your START menu go to SETTINGS once you get there choose CONTROL PANEL once there you choose DISPLAY a pop up box will appear there will be TABS at the top of this box (they will say Background, Screen Saver, Appearance, EFFECTS, Web, SETTINGS) Choose SETTINGS first: when the dialog box pops up choose a button near the bottom of the pop up box near the right edge that says ADVANCED and click that. another dialog box pops up. there are TABS at the top of this box the choices are: (GENERAL, Adapter, Monitor, Performance, Color Management, Vanta) You want to be in the GENERAL dialog box First choice you will see says DISPLAY: FONT SIZE: click on the arrow in the box to see the choices that you can make.. the choices are SMALL FONTS: LARGE FONTS: or OTHER IF you choose LARGE FONTS, you can see how that works out for you you would highlight the LARGE FONTS choice and click on that so it will appear in the box, then you can choose to restart your computer so that the new settings will appear on your screen. Then you would hit the APPLY button. Your computer will go off and then restart. When it comes back on the large fonts should appear. If you would like to see large icons on your screen you can get those by going back through the SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, DISPLAY, and once there you would choose EFFECTS there are several things you can change in the EFFECTS dialog box one of them is VISUAL EFFECTS which has a few choices that you can make, to choose the particular things you want... you will click into the box and make a CHECKMARK appear. You might choose USE LARGE ICONS here. I hope this helps some of you. It is pretty similar in the windows 95, but I don't have that program here to check for each step for you. Good Luck! Wendy
