I am been having some trouble researching my 3rd great grandfather. His names was Charles Henry Peats. He was born in Henry County, Missouri on 13 March 1849. I cannot find him in any census until 1860 and he is living with a family with the last name of Brown, in Tebo Twp, Henry County Missouri. He is listed as attending school. He eventually moved to Indiana and stayed there until his death on 02 May 1921. I sent away for his death certificate, because I would really like to find out who his parents were and why he wasn't living with them. However, the death certificate lists his parents as UNKNOWN.
