Lewis, b. 1843 in TN. Per obit; "He was in a school at Leesville, Henry County, MO. in 1861 when he enlisted in the Confederate Army, and for 18 months he remained in active duty, until he was finally captured by the Federal soldiers." He could have been a student or a teacher at the school, as he started teaching at the age of 16. The next info I have is he was elected Assessor of Franklin County, KS in 1868. Since I cannot locate him in TN., I need any info from MO. I can get. Thank you for you time & care. Linda
