    1. [MOHenry] Bronaugh
    2. Cynthia Kennedy
    3. I'm trying to establish the date and place of death of Thomas Bronaugh (b. Lincoln Co. KY 1794), a veteran of the War of 1812. His pension record does not say when he died (I am told this is not unusual with War of 1812 records). Thomas was distantly related to Addison Bronaugh and C.C. Bronaugh and others of that name who lived in Henry and surrounding counties. Thomas was married to Cynthia Tinsley and then to Charlotte Tinsley (and then possibly to Matilda Hedrick). Thomas and family left KY ca 1830 and settled in Hendricks Co, IN. In late 1850 he received his bounty land in Parke Co, IN. In 1853 he notifed the pension office in Madison, IN that he was moving to MO to be near his children. I have found most of his children living in Laclede and Polk Co, MO from the mid-1850's-on. The last record in his pension file has Thomas receiving his pension at Bolivar in 1854. However, I haven't found any record of Thomas living in Laclede or Polk Counties. I do see two land transactions on the BLM site for a Thomas Bronaugh in Henry Co. Does anyone know about this particular person? If someone could check the 1850 and 1860 census for Henry Co to see who was in this household, that would be really helpful. If anyone sees anything familiar in the info I have given, I'd like to hear from you. Thanks, Cindy Kennedy Shebbear: A village in Devon, England. From the Old English, "sceaftbearu"--the grove where poles were got.

    2. Emily
    3. I'm trying to fill some missing holes on my Simon P. Ogan's family who was in Henry Co, MO sometime between 1860 and 1870 census. His children married Browning, Sullivan, Gilmore and Jenkins. I know that one daughter, Alice is said to have married a doctor, but I don't know his name nor anything more than she was b. in 1858 and died before 1912. Simon's father died while visiting him in 1868 or so. He fell from a horse. Could someone tell me of newspapers in the area at this time which could have reported this? Also...is it possible to obtain records from the coroner's office? Simon's wife killed herself shortly after his death. This would be in 1912. AND...lastly....I would be thrilled to find someone researching this line or any living cousins. Spouses' names were: Ciflton (C.S.) Browning Zadith Sullivan Lowry Gilmore (lived in Beardstown for a time and ran a paper) Bernice Jenkins Recognize anyone??? Many thanks Emily
