I have three family members whom I know were in Henry Co., near Deepwater, in the 1907-1917 time frame but I cannot find any record for them. These individuals are: JAMES D. FOREST/FORREST--was living in Henry Co in 1907, possibly close to Deepwater. He had four young daughters at the time: Effie, Essie; Edna and Mary. With the exception of Essie, all of these children had died by 1914. I believe that James died circa 1907-1920. I would like to discover his date of death and place of burial. John P Forest/Forrest was living near Deepwater in 1917, possibly with his wife Sarah. Marinda "Rinda" Forest/Forrest was living with her sone John P Forest/Forrest when she died December 04, 1917. I would like to find her place of burial. If anyone on the list has sources that could be checked for death and burial info, I would appreciate a look-up for the above individuals. Thank you. Sometime back someone was researching the surname of Runkles. Well I just discovered that I have one in my Hills Family History. Hiram Franklin Purcell married (1) Kate White, born in Arkansas they had one child who died in infancy. married (2) Margarette Runkles, b. April 24, 1914: died_____________ residing 1962 St Joseph Missouri Katie Linwood Kansas Thomas d. Bonner Springs Kansas Raymond B. Clinton Mo. Ruby B. Clinton Mo Mar (1) Hunt (2) Brown Elsa b. Clinton Mo. Mar., Buster Black Helen Rose b. Clinton Mar., Mike Premis Stan Brookshier, Sr.
My current research is focused on the eldest daughter of Midian F SMITH & his wife Sarah (Sallie) ALLEN. The daughter's name was Elizabeth A SMITH, nickname Bettie, born abt 1827 in KY. This SMITH family moved from KY to Pulaski Co. MO sometime between 1830 & 1840. They are found on the 1850 Henry Co, MO census thereafter. On the 1850 Henry Co census Elizabeth SMITH is living with her parents & is given as age 23. On the 1860 Henry Co census she is again living with her parents, but her last name is now Beeson. She has 3 children: Piney J Fugate, Josiah B Beeson, & Sarah E Beeson. On the 1880 Henry Co census she is married to Henry Crouse, age 49 & she is 52. There are no children listed in this household at that time. Henry Co MO Marriage records (online) list a Mr. FUGATE marrying Elizabeth SMITH on April 24, 1851 in Henry Co. IGA FamilySearch (online) records list Elizabeth FUGATE marrying Allen BEASON on May 17, 1855. Our Old Family Journal says his name was Burch Beeson. So I am thinking Burch may have been a nickname. I have not found a record of her marriage to Henry CROUSE. Our Old Family Journal states that she also had a child named "Tommio", who may have been fathered by Henry Crouse. I hope to search the 1870 Henry Co census soon in hopes of finding a record of this 4th child. Our Old Family Journal states that Elizabeth died in 1914 at 88 years of age & was buried at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, MO. However, I have not succeeded in locating her on the online records for Englewood Cemetery. Josiah BEESON & his family are beautifully listed on the online 1895 Special Town of Clinton, MO city census. I would dearly love to connect with any of his descendants who are researching the family. I would greatly appreciate any information regarding Elizabeth SMITH, her spouses, and/or her children. THANK YOU. Nancy _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

Please Reply to James and Linda From: jfthoma@chartertn.net (James F. Thoma) Reply-to: jfthoma@chartertn.net To: MOHENRY-L@rootsweb.com I am interested in the Calhoun potteries. Specifically Gustav A. Jegglin pottery and the Edwards and Minish pottery. Jegglin's pottery was reportedly started in 1881 and the Edwards and Minish pottery in 1892. Does anyone know the ending dates for these two potteries? Was Edwards and Minish the successor business to Jegglin? Did Edwards and Minish ever sign their pottery. Some of my Thoma relatives moved from Boonville, Cooper County, Missouri and worked in the Calhoun potteries. Would also be grateful if anyone has any tidbits of information on their stay in Calhoun. Thanks in advance for helping. Jim James F. and Linda K. Thoma
Dear Henry County Researchers: I am looking to find my daughters ancestors who came from Henry County, Missouri. They are surnamed McMILLIN and CLINE. Her great grandparents were Francis Thomas "Tom" Cline, b. 1917 and Opal Marie McMillin, abt. 1915. I do not know who the great grandparents were. If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it. Wendy
