Hello Lisa, I descend from George Davis as follows: George Davis and Blanche Anna Shain Thomas S. Davis and Matilda Miller Nancy Davis and Joseph Wardrip I have long thought that Caldwell Davis (b. 1814) was a brother, cousin, or relative of some sort of my George Davis (b. 1804). Caldwell Davis married Catherine Shain, younger sister of Blanche Anna Shain who married George. They all are found in Sangamon county, Illinois prior to George and Blanche moving to Harrison county, Missouri. I have never been able to prove this relationship, though. I, too, am searching for the parents of George Davis, and have been searching for around 17 years for them, but no luck thus far. I know of 3 others who are researching this George Davis, so this makes 5 of us now. Are there any others out there?
