    1. Re: [MOHARRIS-L] POORHOUSE Question
    2. My gggrandfather, David R. Woods, is listed on the death records for Harrison Co, Bethany, MO as having died there Sept. 1884 and being buried in the local cem. (was the VERY large one west of town). He had no tombstone prior to 2000. There is no other record of him or his family in Harrison Co.. Would it be possible to get a listing of the patients or persons living in the county farm, poorhouse, etc. Thanks, Chuck Woods

    3. Chuck: I did have one question for you, though. When you refer to the very large cemetery west of town, which one are you referring to? There is a very large cemetery in the northwest part of the town. Additionally, when we were exploring the County Home, we stumbled upon an old cemetery not too far north of it. There were several buried there, and many of the stones were in disrepair. Do you think it could have been this cemetery? It has been too many years to remember the names, now, but the cemetery sits on private property and I don't know if very many people know about it. It belongs to the people who purchased the land where the County Home used to stand (that is if they still own it -- I have been away for a number of years). Perhaps my mother can answer this question, too, after you respond. Jackie Nordeen SIDMANONE@aol.com writes: > My gggrandfather, David R.
