    3. Why don't you just copy the one on EBAY? Right click and "Save Picture As:". That does look kind of like the "County Farm" in Bethany but there were several building of the same type built in the midwest about the same time. I can remember it when it was still open, I would have been 5-6 years old. 2 things I see wrong with this picture are: 1) There should be a fence along the driveway on the left side (west). There was a fenced in area of about 2 acres there. They kept abandoned deer in that area. That's why mom & dad would take me out there, to feed the deer. 2) There should be a shed/barn structure on the back corner of the right side (East) of the structure. It was a storage area and there were also steps in it that led down into the basement of the sctructure. It also appears that there is a statue at the right front corner along the driveway. I don't remember that. Of course this picture could have been taken many years before I was ever on the property. OK, I take all of the above back. I just found a picture of the County Farm taken in 1902. It is the exact same structure. Same trees and everything. It is in the Harrison County Bi-Centennial History, 1976. There is also a picture in the book titled "Home Abandoned". That is the way I remember it. They had enclosed the balcony above the front porch. There is also a picture of the residents standing on the front porch which is dated 1925. It mentions no names of residents. At any rate, the picture on EBAY is defintely of the Harrison County Farm in Bethany, Missouri. I have a list of the people buried in the cemetery which is directly north of where the home stood. It is not "large". Probably 100-125 graves. It is in the Harrison County Cemetery Records, Harrison County Genealogical Society, 1985.
