    3. Yes, I believe this is what we called the "County Home" in Bethany, MO. I grew up in Bethany and have seen many pictures of it over the years. I also had the opportunity to tour it (what was left of it) during my junior high years. It is no longer standing, now. I know the people who owned the land during my high school years razed what was left (not much) to farm it. It was a very beautiful structure -- sat on a hill on the outskirts northwest of town. It housed the poor, insane, etc. I recall several cells (similar to jail cells) in the basement, also, when I toured through it.
