David T. Chapman was born Sept 24 1817, in Virginia. Came to Daviess County in 1835, settling in Benton Township. He was first married to Margaret Groomer and had three children. His second wife was Lucinda Daniels. They were the parents of ten children. David and Lucinda are buried in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. The youngest son of David and Lucinda is Robert Wickliff (Wick) who was born May 21, 1867 in Daviess County.
