Hi All. I was recently at the Harrison County Genealogical Society in Bethany, and I was looking for an obituary of one of my many Smiths. I found the obit I was looking for, and I photo copied it...any way, long story short, On the same page was 3 other SMITH obits that I can't seem to connect to my Smith branch. Maybe some of you connect to one of these Samuel Smiths. I hope so! Here they are (in part--If you connect, I will be happy to send you the entire article): SAMUEL ABNER SMITH JR. Samuel Abner Smith, Jr. son of Samuel A. Smith and SArah Frances HERRON Smith, was born June 3, 1902, on a farm in Harrison Coujnty, Missouri. He died September 18, 1989 at the age of 87 at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Sam attended the Bell Country School and Graduated from Bethany High School in 1920. He was a mason recieving his 60 year membership in from Lodge #99 at Edwardsville, Illinios. ...He was reguarded as an expert mechanic who was a perfectionisgt in his work. he shared his knowledge freely with many in the area. .....United in marriage to EVA RAY.....Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Ned Smith. ......Services were held at 10:30 Sept 2(can't read) 1989....with burial in the Miriam Cemtery. OBITUARY---SMITH Samuel Smith, son ov John and Susan (GRAHAM) Smith was born Feb 18, 1883, near Washington Center, Mo and departed this live at a hospital March 1, 1966 age 83 years 11 days. ......July 23, 1903, he was untied in marriage to Miss ALTHA LEMAR to them were born a son...and a daughter.... Preceding him are the parents, wife, daughter, brother Mark, and a sister, Mrs. Addie BAKER. SAMUEL G. SMITH Samuel G. Smith, Son of GEORGE and ELIZABETH (HUMPHREY) SMITH, was born October 25, 1885 in Harrison County, Missouri and departed this life on March 1, 1981 at Crestview Nursing Home at the age of 95 years, 4 months, and 6 days. In 1895, at the age of 10, Sam helped build the Mt. Olive Chruch. ...... On April 19, 1908 he was united in marriage to BESSIE HOMES. To this union one daughter....was born. ..... Sam was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 64 years, Bessie, 6 brothers LEWIS, JOHN, CHARLES, HENRY, WILEY and JAMES, 3 sisters MARY, AMANDA ALLEN, and SUSANNAH GLENN, son-in-law Leland COOK and grandson ROBERT COOK......
