Hi Richard. I check the census, and found a Simon P. age 30 in 1860, with a son named Richard (age 6 b. Missouri) but the wife of Simon is not Francis in 1860, there is a Nancy age 26 listed. So, the names/ages match up, but it says Richard was born in Missouri. His Obit said they moved to Missouri in 1856 from Illinios, 2 years after Richard was born.
