I am looking for information on the Bain family. They seem to have been in Grundy County from at least 1839 to at least 1880. I believe the father Rieson Bayne died and was buried in Proctor Cemetery in 1839. It seems that he may have been the first person listed that was buried in this cemetery? Does anyone have any information on the history of this cemetery? I believe they came from Ohio. (possibly Monroe County) Rieson had at LEAST two sons. Jacob and Jesse. Jacob married Adaline Munn in 1848 in Grundy County and they had at least 9 children. (One of the Nine - Charles Albert Bain is the line that I am descended from) I show them in the census' in 1850 and 1870 and then it SEEMS that Adaline is without Jacob in 1880. (The name in the census is different but with her name being so odd it seems that every year it is written down as something completely different) His brother Jesse married first a Catharine sometime before 1846 and had at least 2 children. He then married a Mary and had at least 4 more children. I show this family in the census' in 1850, 1860 and 1880. I am curious about another Bain - Oliver. Was he another brother. Jacob and Adaline lived next to the Kelso's in 1850 and there was an Oliver Bain who married Mary Jane Kelso for a short time. They had a son but divorced after two years. I would like to find any connection here also. Any more specifics anywhere would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! andrea
