I'm looking for information on Thomas Mathews and Nancy Cantwell Mathews. They had a child in 1893 named Myrtle B. Mathews. She states on her social security application that they were her parents and that she was born in Galt, Linn Cty, MO. Galt is actually in Grundy Cty, so I'm looking in both Grundy and Linn. Family lore says she was in a girl's school in the area and was taken out of the school by a man named Harry DeVance, who married her. If any of this rings any bells, please let me know.
