    1. [MOGRUNDY-L] Response to quiry Martha Vencill
    2. David and Eva Burke
    3. Sandy: Howdy; I will spin you a little tale and if it helps you, fine if not then not much is lost. Anna Burk b. 1812 married Lewis Vencill in Russell Co. VA This couple had seven children born in VA determined by the 1850 census. Around 1850 the family moved to Grundy Co. Mo. More children were born there beginning with Nancy. This girl married my great grand uncle in 1877 but died a result of a riding accident in Dec. of that year. She is buried in the Vencill Cemetery, near Galt in Grundy Co. Mo. Other siblings that I know of are Henry H.; Thursday (probably Thursa as she had an aunt by that name) Christina who married a Tulley; Nancy (mentioned above) John; Rus (Rees) Dorcas C.; and Lora 3/12 years of age for the 1860 census. A letter to me from the Grundy Co. Genealogical Society states: Lewis Vencill d. 31/7/1884; Anna d. 30 Mar 1890; In the Martin Cemetery are Frank and Martha Vencill Franks dates were 1875-1943 and Martha is 1878-1939. Further is speculation that Frank married Mattie Hosom and had one child Corvin b. 6 June 1906. Frank was b. 23 July 1875, worked in a bank at Galt and also at Tinsdall. My folks may be of a generation before your Martha. If you find any connection please let me know. I have been trying for almost two years to make connection with any descendent of Lewis and Anna Vencill but to no avail. Luck D. M. Burke
