John Ralston had received a disability pension, which went to Eliza upon his death on Jan. 13, 1894 in Trenton, Grundy Co., Mo . They were actually married to each other twice. They divorced in Jan. 1891 in Kansas and remarried the following Sept., also in Kansas---Jefferson Co. I believe. John Ralston and Eliza had no children together. I gather from the pension papers that she was his 2nd or 3rd wife. He had no minor children, meaning under 16 yrs of age, at the time of his death, which was from TB. From census records, he was born about 1828 in Indiana. I hope this helps.
