His mother and father are unknown except his father was born in Ireland and his mother in Arkansas. It is believed his mother was full blood Cherokee. John Henry was left orphaned and has only one known sister, Mary Ann Ferguson who married Peter Shrum. These two were raised by a Joe Morhan family in what is called Phelps Co., Mo. I would like to find where they came from. I would appreciate any help.
