I have a copy of a letter that was submitted to The Ntional Tribune on August 20, 1885 It is a story of Merrils Horse but the times and dates differ from the ones listed here. Maybe it is another battle or just a portion of the battle. It took place in Northeast Missouri July 1st 1862. If anyone is interested in a copy please email me and i will be glad to email you a copy. Also if you have any further info for me about this particular cav and the battle please let me know.
