Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows if the Stucker Cemetery in Grundy Co is still in operation? I tried locating a phone number for them but came up with nothing. There is a burial there, or should I say a stone with the name Mary A. Janes who died in 1880. There also is a stone for her in Shinnston Cemetery in Shinnston WV. This IS the same person. Sometimes I have found that a person will already have a stone in one cemetery before they die, much like today especially when the first spouse dies, they erect a ddouble stone with both persons name inscribed. Mary Ann's husband died many years before she did. She then moved to Grundy Co. Mo and lived with her son John T. Janes and his wife Rosa Smith Janes. Rosa is also buried in Stucker Cem. I am having a hard time believing that in 1880 Mary Ann's body was shipped back to WV for burial AND also have a stone in Stucker Cem. I believe she is in Stucker Cem and her name was engraved beside her husbands in the Shinnston Cem. Has anyone heard of this before? And can anyone provide and info on the Stucker Cem, like a telephone number? Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Jana Jaynes Thomas
