John married Elmada Cummins in Grundy Co. Mo on Feb. 11, 1862. They had a son named John Segal Smith born Oct. 25, 1862 in Grundy. John Smith died in the Civil War Feb. 21, 1863. Elmada Cummins moved to Grundy from Clinton Co. Mo with her family about 1860. Her parents were Daniel and Elizabeth Cummins they were from Rockcastle Co. KY. Elmada married Andrew Warren after John's death. We have not been able to find any information on our John Smith, his parents or sieblings. All we know that he was a farmer and lived in Grundy at the time of his marriage to our gg grandmother Elmada. Thanks, Delores Davis Spencer
