Deskins and Catherine Unknown. George and Catherine married March 2, 1840 in Tazewell Co. I have no siblings for William, but that doesn't mean there were none. For George, I have parents, one partial set of grandparents and 12 siblings. I'm looking for information on Bertha Place McCrary Deskins, who married Roy Cleveland Deskins b. August 20, 1886. Roy is buried in Edinburgh Cemetery, Grundy Co. I think her first husband was Duke McCrary but am not sure. If so, her middle initial is L, she was born in MO in 1891, died in 1973 and is buried in McCrary Cemetery outside Gallatin, Daviess Co. MO. Also have two children for her, if it's the same Bertha.

I have a Jacob Deskins who md. Rachel Harper. I believe she is the daughter of Leonard and Polly Follen Harper of Tazewell Co, VA. A Grundy County history lists a Henry "Duskin" son of Daniel and Margaret, who married a Rissa Harper, daughter of Leonard and Polly. All moved to Grundy Co, MO. Is Jacob the same man as Henry or are they brothers? Other relatives? Is Rachel the same as Rissa or are they sisters? I descend from William Harper who married Nancy Ratliff. He is the son of Leonard and Polly. Would like to fill in his brothers and sisters. Dann Norton
