(Howell) De Vaul are my 2xgreat grandparents. Their daughter Lousia was my great grandmother.Her last born child, William Allison was born Sept. 1893-last of 16 children. I have a photo of Louisa holding my grandfather as a baby, also in photo is Sarah K. Howell DeVaul and three other women and two young children-unidentified. I recently purchased the "History of Grundy County 1881" from the Grundy County-Jewett Norris Library. The library sells reprinted copies of the Birdsall & Dean book for only $47.50-much cheaper than buying it from Higginson Books. The book has a large amount of DeVaul family history and information, it has been well worth buying. I dealt with Margaret Woods who works at the library, she was very helpful.
