Hello, I am looking for a connection between any Bennett, Ball, or Etherton families in Grundy, Daviess, or Ray Counties. I found the following family in the 1870 Missouri census......all found in Washington Twp, Edinburg town.....Robert Bennett age 72 with Delphia Bennett age 30, Benjamin Bennett age 5, Mary Bennett age 3, and John Etherton age 15.......I would like to find out who this John Etherton is. Perhaps a stepson, farm hand, nephew, etc.....??? Delphia is next found in Daviess County in 1876 when she marries John Ball, who is 16-17 years younger than she is. Then in 1880 John and Delphia Ball and Benjamin, and Mary Bennett along with John and Delphia's 2 sons, Virgil and Clarence Ball are all found in Ray County. Benjamin marries in Ray County in 1882 to Sarah Livingston. I have no idea who John Ball's parents are, but I did find a James Ball in the 1860 Daviess County Census with wife Martha and son John W age 14 along with siblings Margaret, Lucretia, William, and Folier. It is very possible that this might be my John Ball. Does Anyone know anything about any of these people? I apologize for any duplicate messages. This will be sent to the 3 different mail lists.
