She was the daughter of Asa Cole and Amanda. Isaac and Elizabeth were married 2 Apr 1908. She was married first to Alexander Foster. My Foster connections are in a seperate line and I have not found much on the ones in Grundy who apparently married Atterburys (any spelling).

I have some Coles in my line from Missouri. My great grandmother had a sister, Mary Parker, who married a James Cole. Mary was born about 1835 or so. I cannot at this moment lay my hands on the names of her offspring but there were a lot of children born to that union. Let me know if you think there may be a connection and I will dig around for more data that I may have.
Yes, I'd very much like to see this bio. THANX a million. R. N. Belshe, p. 535 I have a HARVEY (or Harry or Henry) BELCHER who married SUSAN WILLIAMS 13 Sep 1841 IN Grundy Co., MO. In Washington Twp., Mercer Co., MO., in 1848 HARVEY BELCHER was an official election judge: In "Roger's History of Mercer County, 1911" - Chapter VII: Political, on page 175 it states: "In its early history Mercer county was rather evenly divided between the Whigs and Democrats. The people of this section were allowed to vote as a territory attached to Grundy county in the campaign of 1844, one year before the organization of Mercer county. The result of that election is lost of record. In 1848 the first regularly conducted presidential election was held. Taylor, the Whig candidate, received 144 votes and Cass, Democrat, received 183. The judges of election for the county were . . .Washington, Thos. Everett, Wm. Thomas and Harvey Belcher. . . " Harvey Belcher is my 3rd Great grandfather. Two of his daughters are each one of my great great grandmothers: Missouri Ann Elizabeth Belcher and Martha Jane Belcher. Martha Jane's surname was written on pension form as Belshe. The Harvey Belcher family with 7 children was found in the 1850 Census District 56, Mercer Co., MO. living with Susan William's parents and younger siblings. I do not know who Harvey's parents or siblings are or where he was born for sure. Harvey was born in 1820. The location could have been KY or VA - conflicting info from the two daughters was recorded in later censuses. I have not been able YET to locate him and his family in the 1860 Census. I'd like to know when and where he died, who his parents are and who are his siblings. There are several of us Belcher, Harrington and Stepp cousins wondering the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx so much. Phyl

My gggrandmother (Talitha J.B. Embry b.28 Oct 1852,d.22 Apr 1935) married, her second marriage, to GEORGE HENRY BARNETT on 12 Jul 1877. My ggrandmother was born, apparently, 9 May 1877 (the May prior to their marriage) She used the Barnett name as her maiden name but since I have no record of death or divorce from Talitha's first marriage (James H. Newman) I still am uncertain of her true parentage. George and Talitha Barnett had these other children too: (info is limited) Clara Barnett married someone with the name of Dr. Harvey Annabelle Barnett married a Jim Stewart Herbert Barnett b. 13 Oct 1833 d. 29 Jan 1969 Herbert seems like a good jumping off point. He is buried in Resthaven Cemetary, his mother is buried in Bratton Cemetary which seems to be a strong lead. You can find the Bratton Cemetary and Resthaven Cemetary info on the Grundy County Gen page. I have been unable to find the parents of George Henry Barnett if you find them PLEASE let me know! Hope this helps a little. Shari
