    1. [MOGRUNDY-L] Dean Family Reunion
    2. Lucy Peterson
    3. There will be a Dean Family Reunion held in Trenton, Missouri at the Community Room. This will be June 8th. Someone will be there starting at 9:00 a.m. There will be a group picture around 11:00. The purposes are to meet relatives, visit and share genealogy (and decide if they want to do this again). This has been organized by some descendants of Enoch Dean who settled in northern Missouri with 4 of his sons. However, any distant or interested other family members are welcome -- or so I'm told by the organizers. For more information you can contact me, Lucy Peterson, at the above email. Or you can contact one of the committee, Darlene Dean, at: rddean@ipa.net. Hope all of you related to the Deans can make it. I am trying to work things out to get out there. I would love to meet you. Lucy

    3. Robin,, TJ and anyone who is interested in these Families I haven't heard from you, Robin, as yet and sent you several messages. I have more now on proof of Louisa Rooks ma to Joseph ( who also is Joel Boring also the children from 1850 - 1880 censuses as below. Also who Joseph's(Joel)'s) parents are. All same person. I surmise that Louisa had told her ch or some in family about her mother's name as Smithson and somehow they got it remembered as Smith for Louisa.. Therefore whoever started on doing the genealogy remembered ( or some family member did), Louisa's last name as Smith. Then whhoever did the Genealogy looked for a Smith with a child by name of Louisa and picked up that line of Smiths. I have tried to find a marriage lic for a Louisa Smith and Joel or Joeph Boring and none anywhere. Also if we now go into Land records and maybe some early in their marriage, church records it may have Louisa's maiden name as well as Rooks. Anyway we are determined to establish which is correct on this Louisa. Note the children's names. . Also the William Boring 19 on 1880 census may be the same person as Calvin as William Calvin or Calvin William Boring. The other names also can be the middle or real first name on the child. We also have established that the Elizabeth was Louisa's middle name as it was told in my family that she was named after her granmother. THus the Elizabeth on 1860 census just after they married 22 Feb 1860. Also the Arminta on 1870 census is the same person as Lara which probably is her middle name and may should have been spelled as Laura.?? Al these children are in the Gen that I was sent a copy of from several that have Louisa as Smith and not Rooks. Wuth all this plus I have a copy of original Mar Lic. of Joseph and Louisa and also from IGI in Family Histoey Center of EXTRACTED Births of Clinton Co Oh, listing Ida 's birth ate and parents names as Louisa Rooks and Joseph Boring. We are going to search any possible church records in Grundy Co Mo or Clinton Co Oh as she was born in Clinton Co Oh. and see if a baptism or so is there with it to prove it. Her dad. William Rooks's mother was Elizabeth Jackson mar Joseph Rooks. There is the granmother named after. I would like to hear from you so we can further substantiate this quite possible mistake. and know that you did get my other messages. I am also looking for more imfo with Butler Gen.. Do you happen to have any.? T J Shumacker is a Genealogist and lives close to, within several hrs drive into Ohio and plans on going there in a few days or so to check more at these places Ida lived etc. Also Louisa had a bro named Harrison Rooks and he also was in Clinton Co Oh and in civil war 1961/2. Also I think I found where he may have died close to where Louisa and Joel lived in early 1900's. I will let you know more when I get it. As far as I know, but cannot document, Jesse Murray imigrated to southwest MO. and met Sarah Keene there. Our written family history compiled by Jesse's grandson and begun by his son Samuel during WWI does not really address that question satisfactorily. I also have internet info on John Murray's wife's name and have a Margaret Doyle, so we both have weak info in that area, however I am safe in saying that the "Old John Murray" farm 6 and one half miles north of Jonesboro TN, is the family home that both you and I descend from. This written history covers some topics that may be of interest to you for tracking back from Elizabeth Riggs and Jesse Murray if you have an interest in that area. Once again thanks for some very valuble info.
