This family must have been in Missouri in 1840 because the first child, Martha, 13 born in Missouri. If this is the right Margaret, she married Benjamin F. Dennis in 1864. Benjamin F. Dennis was the son of William Dennis who is in Greene Co. in 1850, also. Its hard to figure out all the Smith connections in Greene Co. (anyway for me). I am actually researching the Hiram Smith family who is in Greene Co. , 1850 and 1860. The Hiram Smith and William Dennis families connect at least one time, that I can prove.
