Russell married daughters of Robert Doak Rogers (1826-1872) and Jurrita Wilson Watts 1826-1898). The wife of Matthew was Amanda Malvina (Mandy) Rogers and Thomas' wife was Mary Jane (Molly) Rogers. They were both sisters of Dr. Isaac Newton Rogers for whom Rogersville, Webster Co, MO was named. Robert Doak and his wife are buried in the Watts Cem near Rogersville.
