Researching: Israel, Smith, Fawcett, Cathcart, Hammontree Elaine, We also have Smiths in Greene County. They all settled in the Fair Grove/Strafford area and many moved into Springfield. We start with Henry Smith (1791-1871) who married a Susan in NC. Their son John Henry Smith (1835-1898) who married Mary Melinda Owen. Then my g-grandmother Laura MeEtta Smith (1881-1927) who married William Ellis Fawcett. Then my grandmother Dulcie Oma Fawcett who married Ralph Waldo Israel. Does any of this sound familiar?
