However, your message was not clear whether they actually lived in Springfield or just somewhere near Springfield like Willard, Republic or Strafford (which would be different townships). The term "near Springfield" to me is a very vague term that people use who don't want to tell people exactly where they live. You should try to get a copy of the birth certificate to pin point the township. There is really no way of knowing the township unless you are positive they lived in Springfield, then I can say with certain it would be Campbell Township.
