    3. There is a small grocery store or something in Turners Station. There is a post office inside of it. It has its own zip code still. --- Dana Longley <dana1@avalon.net> wrote: > Are there sites for Galloway & Turners Station? > I'm just not finding anything on these 2 towns. > THANKS! > Dana Longley > > > ==== MOGREENE Mailing List ==== > List admin: listpig@earthlink.net > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion > online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 > __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? 3. Sorry I've not replied back on this...I've been sick with a cold & you all know how it is when your sick. Yes Carolyn the post office is still in use at Turners. I went to Spfd. in Aug. for a visit. (We live in Iowa now) I had the best ole time sandwich there! The grocery store is still there & now they have a little place in back to eat. The room in back I believe the lady we talked to said, was a hardware or feed store way back when. I did take some pics of it & Turners Creek & plan to go back to get more. I didn't get any this trip of the inside as they got busy with the lunch crowd. My g-grandfather, William Nunn lived & died there & I'd like to get pics of his place too. Turners is putting out a book on the History of Turners Sta. & it's families. Also they were supposed to have some kind of history days there I think the lady we talked to said abt. Oct. 9th. I wish we could be there for that. It sounded like it will be alot of fun. With ole time music & all. Galloway will also be doing a booklet on the History of Galloway. So they are needing whatever info/pics also. I think they will begin working on this after their Christmas Open House Nov. 1st-3rd. This will be their 23rd year for the open house. I also took pics of Galloway while we were there & I'll be going back to get more. In the meantime...I'm trying to gather what I have here & what pics of families of Galloway to add to the booklet. I know I found somewhere on the net abt. who Galloway was named after a couple of years ago but now I don't know where it is. So if anyone knows the url for that, or have that info, please let me know. Dana Carolyn Caplinger wrote: > There is a small grocery store or something in Turners > Station.
