I am trying to locate satellite families of the above names. Garton's came to Greene Co, MO from Dickson Co, TN & Maury Co, TN. They were James C Garton, wife: Annie Teresa Powers. They came from Ripley Co, MO. But James C. Garton was orginally from Dickson Co, TN. His Uncles came to Greene Co, MO ca 1855. There was Jacob Wisdom Garton Sr. (bn 1822) wife: Penelope Elizabeth Rainey, Philip Garton (bn 1822), wife Christiana Hoffman. Jacob & Philip were triplets. Their brother George apparently moved to Ripley Co, MO. Sheedy's & Gorman/O'Gorman came to Greene Co, MO ca 1880. They worked for the railroad and owned farms in Greene Co, MO. The Sheedy family were very prominent in Greene Co,MO. The family was from Co Clare, Ireland. Loyd/Lloyd's came to Greene Co, MO from Scott Co, KY. Manluis B. Loyd was the settler in Greene Co, MO about 1870. He owned a large farm. He was md to Martha Pence, who also came from Scott Co, KY but they both had moved to Platte Co, MO before moving to Greene Co. The Pence family had moved to Platte Co, ca 1850 and so had Manluis B.
