She was the dau of Caleb Douglas Portwood and Mary Crossan Morrow Portwood of Lexington, Fayette Co KY. She had a brother Bradley Portwood who was a cabinet maker living in a boarding house in Kansas City Mo in the 1930 census. He served in France in WWI. After the 1930 Census and before 1939 Bradley Portwood disappeared and no trace of him has ever been found. The name Willard Davis appears to be prominent in Kanasas one being Attorney General of that state in the late 19th cent.
