    2. >From the Springfield Leader Press Springfield, Missouri (Greene County) Thursday, October 17, 1985 SHELL KNOB - Services for Frank Kermit Laster, 68, Shell Knob, were to be held this afternoon in Shell Knob First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Francisco officiating. Mr. Laster died at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, after a long illness. A native of McLouth, Kan., he moved to Shell Knob 11 years ago. He was a World War II Army veteran and retired in 1974 after 27 years as a stillman with the Standard Oil Refinery in Sugar Creek. He was a member of Shell Knob Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann; two daughters, Judy Cox, Osage Beach, and Lu Ann Brooks, Independence; a brother, Robert, Independence; a sister, Betty Lobb, Independence; and three grandchildren. The body has been cremated by Axley's Mortuary. Burial will be in Viola Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shell Knob Volunteer Fire Department.
