Hi listers, As we all know, deadend info comes in tidbits at a time. We may research for months and months not finding anything. This had been the case of George S. DAY. My great-grandfather's sister Rachel WINTON of northern Greene County married a Rev. Samuel M. GODBEY about 1882. Rachel was Rev. GODBEY's second wife. Sam's first wife was Laura S. DAY (b. 1852 in New Orleans, LA and d. in 1880 in Morrisville, MO). Laura was the only child of George S. and Theresa DAY. I've spent about a year looking for this DAY family. I finally was able to locate an obit for Laura. In the obit it states that her father, George DAY is the Mayor for Springfield. I am hoping and wondering if anyone connects to this family of DAY's? If you connect or know of anyone who does, please contact me. I would really like to fill in the info on this lineage. There are quite a few questions I have unanswered. Thanks, Mike [email protected]
