Looking for an obituary notice on Cyrena S. Penter (maiden name Pate) who was married to William Penter. William applied for a Civil War Pension in 1890 at which time he was already widowed. I have no idea when she died. The last place I can trace her to is the 1870 Greene Co Jackson Township census. At that time she was listing as being 44yrs old. She was born in Washington Co., Illinois. I know nothing of her parents or siblings. Thanks, Susan Sawyer Roland
<PRE> Hello- Does the William Dobbs, that is Lawerence county give any more information on it?? How would I find possibly if he died there?? and if he is one of the siblings to my great grandmother Sarah F Dobbs?? If you can help further, let me know. Melodee melnsam123@aol.com

Hi I am a descendent of Aednego and Eizabeth. Their daughter Louisa born in 1815 married Rev David Ross in Greene county Mo in 1834 at Robberson Prairie. A daughter Elizabeth Jane married Williamson Porter Whitlock. Their son William Porter and wife Dora Deering were the parents of my Grandmother Lida Louise. She married George Quinn and my father James Porter Quinn was their second child. We decorate at Robberson Prairie grave site of Abednego and Eizabeth each decoration day. The information shown is all there is. If you have a subscription to Ancestry's censuses you could search for the family in the 1850 census. I live in Calif so I can't help you with deaths...maybe someone on this list or the Lawrence Co list can help. Or you can visit the Lawrence County site through Rootsweb and see what's listed for vital records. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Melnsam123@aol.com> To: <MOGREENE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, October 24, 2002 6:30 PM Subject: Re: [MOGreene] Looking for Family members of George Washington Dobbs and Sara... > <PRE> Hello- Does the William Dobbs, that is Lawerence county give any more > information on it??
